Optimist Scholarship Fund

Many Palisades Charter High School students overcome significant personal and financial obstacles to excel, both academically and in their giving back to the community. The cost of college often adds a significant burden.
Since 1989, The Palisades Optimist Foundation, with financial donations from the community, has selected and awarded scholarships to these exceptional, college-bound graduates. The financial boost helps recipients with out-of-pocket college expenses.
Last year, a record six outstanding students were chosen, making our fund the largest single source of scholarship at Pali High. With June graduation upon us, we are once again asking for your help to award even more $2,000 grants this year.

Please help us and these kids grow by making a tax-deductible donation in any amount.
We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) Palisades charity organization. 100% of your donation goes to the scholarships or the endowment supporting the scholarships.
Thank you in advance for your financial support.

Hi Rich,
Hope you’re well and safe. I wanted to thank you and all of the other Optimists not only for the incredibly generous scholarship, but also for the immense kindness you have shown me over the last few years. From my first Optimists meeting with Amir almost 3 years ago, I have been welcomed with open arms and made a part of the Optimists family. Waking up extra early on a Tuesday to stop by a meeting was always my favorite part of the week, and there was no better way to start my day than surrounded by true Optimists. You have supported me and the Ambassadors every step of the way, and I am so grateful for that.
Thank you guys for the generous scholarship, and all your hard work to support the Pali students. What you do makes such a positive difference in the Pali community. I’m staying close for college next year, so you guys haven’t gotten rid of me just yet! I think you may have a lifelong Optimist on your hands.
Stay well, and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
With infinite gratitude,
Eli Kia
